Formed in 1958, Promota is the British Advertising Gift Distributors Association. They represent manufacturers, importers and distributors in the promotional merchandise and advertising gift trade.

In 2005, LSi was nominated in the top 5 distributors in the UK out of a total of 1437 by Promota members. This award is voted for by 982 supply partners.

In 2006 the awards were regionalised. LSi won the award 'Distributor of the Year for the North East', taking top spot out of 189 fellow competitors. The award was presented by Promota Chairman Annette Scott.

In 2007, for the second year in succession, LSi won the award for Distributor of the Year (North East). The award was presented by Brian Blessed (actor), Rod Duncan (Promota Chairman) and Andrew Hill (Senator Pens). Chris Walker and Lloyd Simpson accepted the award.

In 2008 LSi were the runners-up of the Promota Distributor of the Year awards. Again, the nomination is testament to the hard work of the loyal employees and the relationship we enjoy with our supply partners.

In 2009, we were awarded the Distributor of the Year award by our buying group The Page Partnership. The Page Partnership has 40 distributor members and an annual group turnover of £50m+ so it was a great honour to be voted Top Distributor.

In 2010, LSi were awarded the Promota Distributor Of The Year award for the North. Also, Promota awarded M.D. Lloyd Simpson the Roger Saunders Award for Outstanding Service to the Industry. We were also nominated by the British Promotional Merchandise Association for the Distributor Website Of the Year award.
